The young people of our world need all the help they can get in learning to live a life of Godly moral truth in a challenging environment. The Higher Ground Youth Ministry (HGYM) exercises this focus with laser-sharp precision – ministering to Jr. High students (7th & 8th grade) in “The Bridge” and Sr. High students (9th - 12th grade) in “Higher Ground.” A simple strategy helps them stay on track, to provide teens three special ingredients for their faith walk:

Freedom – Christianity is not about rules! It is about being free from baggage! Christ came to give us life not to make rules or take away all of our fun, but to give us a life free from worldly baggage.

Foundation – Every Christian needs a solid foundation in their life. HGYM uses multimedia, drama and modern music to creatively and effectively preach, teach and minister the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to teens to build a Godly foundation in every one of us.

Fellowship – Christian fellowship is not just a luxury, it is a necessity! There is no way that any Christian can live their lives for God without having at least a few Christian friends.

HGYM unites teens with a very real God, and makes the process enjoyable. Living for Jesus Christ is an exciting adventure! Some of the many activities the teens of CCC do include:

• Weekly services with contemporary worship and an uncompromising message.
• Monthly small groups for discipleship and increased bonding.
• Annual retreats for fun and a special time in God’s presence.
• A variety of other events to teach timeless values and develop lasting friendships.
