Haiti
Community Christian Church has partnered with the Rhema Int’l Medical Center in Bocozelle, Haiti, (approximately 70 miles north of Port-au-Prince,) providing food, water, medical supplies, health and spiritual support to 50,000 people living in the Artibonite Valley. Free health exams are performed on all children up to the age of 5 and all children receive free vaccinations for malaria, tuberculosis, and typhoid fever. Pre-natal care is given to expecting mothers and a well-equipped maternity ward provides safe and sanitary conditions for childbirth. Additionally no one needing medical attention is turned away, regardless of their ability to pay for treatment.

After Pastor Tony visited the Rhema Facility in May of 2010 and personally witnessed the many pressing health needs first hand, a decision was made to construct a badly needed medical pharmacy directly on the site. This secured pharmacy will stock all the necessary medications, inoculations and medical supplies at the Center itself, instead of having to wait for orders to arrive from other locations.
In December of 2010, the architectural plans and design for the new 1000 square foot Rhema Medical Center Pharmacy were completed and approved. Construction was under way in January 2011, and the pharmacy was completed and furnished by May of 2011. As of June 2011, the pharmacy is now fully operational and is serving the community on a daily basis.
Community Christian Church currently financially supports the Rhema Center on a monthly basis and is working with Dr. Bethel Lanie and Harry Gruits (the president of Rhema Int’l) on plans for community health education, discipleship and short term mission projects. Your prayers and financial support is desperately needed and greatly appreciated.
